These six principles guide how we work every day.
Make ideas tangible, iterate often, and refine with purpose

Explore how our teams work together to support our buyers and sellers.
Our Product Designers iterate on experiences, wireframes, prototypes, and concepts. They work closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other designers to align user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility—conducting testing and gathering feedback to continuously refine and improve the eBay product.
I love untangling complex logic and turning fuzzy ideas into clear systems. Making sense of chaos and building scalable, intuitive tools and recommendations with smart, curious teammates keeps me energized and happily overthinking the details.
I value balance in my work—between creativity and usability, simplicity and expressiveness—and I’m energized by turning that tension into thoughtful, delightful experiences for eBay buyers.
I’m always learning from teams around the world. We design for buyers, individuals, and businesses, accounting for varying levels of risk, which adds meaningful complexity. What makes work rewarding is a shared commitment to do what’s best for users.
The messy middle is my favorite place. It’s where all the disciplines come together. I enjoy getting people aligned and translating complexity into simplicity. There’s something beautiful about making the hardest challenges feel known for our users.
Our User Experience Researchers contribute to all phases of product development through generative and evaluative research, identifying the most relevant and timely customer problems, then conducting primary and secondary research to develop strategic, evidence-based points of view to inform business decisions.
I’m at my best when I’m finding the human truth at the center of a messy, complex problem. I love acting as the advocate who turns those insights into experiences that make people (and their businesses!) feel seen and supported.
I enjoy translating user expectations and pain points into actionable next steps. I'm passionate about visualizing insights in a digestible, interesting way.
I enjoy getting to connect with and hear directly from our users who are so passionate about their hobby and collecting. It inspires me and the rest of the team in our work.
I’m driven by curiosity. I bring a psychologically grounded approach, focused on understanding people. What excites me is the opportunity to drive meaningful change, in partnership with thoughtful minds, doing right by the millions who use eBay.
Our Content Designers create comprehensive strategies and scalable frameworks to identify the customer problem, build customer journey maps to understand what and how much information goes where, test and iterate content, then analyze data to understand whether we actually solved the customer problem.
I love partnering with product design and UXR to first unearth the deeper customer problems beneath the ones initially listed in a PRD, and then to noodle through the discovery to find the best design solutions together.
I’m inspired to help people take confident actions. I love taking a messy, uncertain problem and shaping it into information that guides, supports, and empowers users to do what they came to do.
I'm empowered to tackle big design challenges in complex product spaces. I love that I get to collaborate with great partners to solve meaningful people problems, and I'm proud that our content has a real, measurable impact on our user experience.
Our Visual Designers understand the systems they design for and create solutions that scale. This team is passionate about the power of design in elevating the customer experience while delivering results that push the business forward. We maintain the highest design standards and strive to continuously innovate our output.
The one thing I love doing about my job is the constant innovation that goes on. Using design as a tool to improve the overall customer experience.
I enjoy using motion to elevate how our brand comes to life—adding emotion, clarity, and meaning. I work with teams to shape a motion language that feels unified, expressive, and flexible as it scales across products and audiences.
I’m motivated by making large, complex ecosystems feel cohesive and aligning teams around a shared visual language that elevates the whole.
Our Design Technologists have a bias for action, rapidly translating design thinking into production-minded code that allows product teams to explore and iterate on new ideas and technologies. This team evangelizes for design and front-end excellence, routinely making new connections to improve collaboration at eBay.
I founded this team of design-minded engineers. Our work shapes next-gen vision while sharpening what ships today - through production-focused prototypes, workflow-enhancing tools, and driving the evolution of the Evo Design System.
What I enjoy most about my work is elevating a platform users love. Working closely with our partners, my team and I help build prototypes and features around motion, systems, tooling, AI, and R&D to help ship the next evolution of eBay.
Our Design Program Managers ensure requirements are clearly defined, outcome-oriented, and aligned with user expectations and business goals. This team builds scalable systems—tools, dashboards, reporting and frameworks—that empower teams to move efficiently and with clarity across multiple workstreams.
I am driven by the global impact of eBay, which is why, even on weekends, you’ll find me chatting with business owners about the power of eBay.
I love to make order out of ambiguity, even when we're in the squishy middle; solving complex customer problems with good UX and a talented cross-functional team keeps me motivated.
Our Business Strategy and Operations team empowers the organization to operate more efficiently by providing clarity, structure, and support that drives business impact. This is a team of strong communicators with a keen eye for detail, adept at balancing multiple complex programs in dynamic and ambiguous environments.
What I find most rewarding is working across disciplines to bring structure, predictability, and cohesion to how we operate. Strong foundations help teams focus on their craft and do their best work as part of a connected design community.
